Then, I decided to boot through Safe Mode, and that actually worked! Now, I'm going to reinstall OS X. When I restarted my computer, I got the kernel panic "You need to restart your computer." I tried booting from my Snow Leopard Retail disc by holding down "c" at startup, but that didn't change anything. BAD IDEA! I think it's because those software/drivers were out of date, so my computer wasn't compatible or on the same page if that makes sense.
#UNINSTALL TOTALFINDER HOW TO#
Instead of reinstalling OS X, I tried to use Pacifist to only install the "Essential Elements." I did this because I didn't want to lose all my applications and stuff, and I wasn't sure how to reinstall without losing that stuff. Sorry it's taken me so long to respond back with my results. If anybody can help out in anyway, then I'd really appreciate it. I downloaded the Uninstaller package for the application, but I can't access it because no finder window will come up. And I have no way of uninstalling TotalFinder. It might be TotalFinder, or it might be some sort of virus, but I'm not sure. This is really frusturating because I'm not sure where the problem lies. I can access Google Chrome through another menu bar application called "Google Notifier," but that seems to be the only window I'm able to access. I tried going to system preferences through another menu bar application called "MenuPrefs." System Preferences appears in the menu bar, but no window pops up. I tried resetting disk permissions through a menu bar application called "MainMenu." It says its running, but that didn't fix anything.

I tried going to finder->new window, but nothing happens. But they are running very slowly, and usually result in a spinning wheel. The menu bar is still there, and my menu bar applications are still there. Finally, I restarted my Macbook, but when it started up the dock did not launch. Also, some other documents were using weird default applications to open them up (not the usual ones).
#UNINSTALL TOTALFINDER PDF#
pdf documents wouldn't open with Preview. It was awesome because I got to add tabs to my finder, which helps with organization. First, I downloaded and installed TotalFinder. I don't know what information is important so I'll just give it all. I am hoping I can get some much needed help here.
